The CAMEOs celebrate the power of books at the heart of the creative industries and the adaptations they inspire.
With the creative industries worth £84 million to the UK economy and $2,250 billion to the US economy per year, these awards are a chance to recognise some of the most exciting contributions from individuals across the sector, from authors to directors, agents, publishers and producers.
For the inaugural CAMEOs USA, entries are open to any producer, studio or organisation in the US who has successfully transformed a UK-authored book into an audio format.
Judges will be looking for demonstration of quality and success, including, but not limited to: sales; quality narration; viewing stats; reviews; press coverage; critical acclaim; social media profile; peer-to-peer recommendation, and industry prize nominations.
The audiobook ought to have been adapted from a title written by a UK author, available to listen to, in the US between September 1 2017 and December 31 2018.
Entries are now closed. The winner will be revealed at a ceremony in New York on the 30th May.
